Wireless Turning Target System Turning Targets

The ShootingPartner Range-in-a-Box is a complete-- and completely portable-- turning target system that deploys and repacks in only 20 minutes.

Turn this:

Into this:

In just 20 minutes.

You share a range with someone else or your own range is not secure; you must have portability yet you need a full-featured turning target system. The Range-in-a-Box is the solution.

ShootingPartner entered the turning target business in 2003 with highly portable but highly capable turning target systems for small to medium-sized police departments that did not have much in the way of range facilities. We now produce a variety of portable and fixed target systems for ranges of all sizes but we have not forgotten the needs of the smaller departments.

The Range-in-a-Box is a complete turning target system that provides smaller departments with training capability that meets or exceeds those available to "big city" organizations.

As you can see from the photograph above, the Range-in-a-Box is delivered to you in three medium-sized cardboard boxes. Our unique target design allows a complete 8-target turning target system to easily fit into the back of an SUV or pick-up truck for transportation and storage. The system can be deployed for use in just 20 minutes. We supply the complete target system - all you need to provide is a 12-volt battery and an air supply (see below).

Once the target system is deployed you enjoy the same operating capabilities as our fixed target systems provide; in fact, both systems use the same control program.

Optional accessories are available for this system; see below.

We supply:

8-Target Receiver and choice of Standard or Advanced Control Unit

The Range-in-a-Box Turning Target System can be purchased with either our Standard or our Advanced control unit. Choose the Standard Control Unit if your interest is mainly qualification plus a moderate amount of advanced training. Choose the Advanced Control Unit if you carry out qualification but you also like to see your SWAT team sweat.

It is simple to upgrade your control unit without making changes to the rest of the turning target system. You can even purchase two control units, one Standard and one Advanced, that can be used interchangeably.

Our old faithful 8-Target Receiver, in a new more rugged box, is supplied with either control unit. It works with both control units without modification.

 Our Reliable Standard Target Unit

The Range-in-a-Box Turning Target System features our Standard Cross-Base Target Unit. The wide legs, heavy base, and provision of holes for staking down the frame ensure the target is stable under the worst of conditions. As shown at left the targets can be taken apart and stacked in groups to provide the most easily transported and stored, full-featured target system available.

Each target is, of course, supplied with a target mounting frame and pivot shaft.

The Standard Target Units permit individual control and movement of each target, providing improved training and the ability to continue in operation should one of those "Oops, sorry!" accidents occur.

All required air hoses and cables

All needed air hoses, connecting cable, and battery connection clips are included.

You supply:

  • Battery

You will need to supply a 12-volt power source for the 8-Target Receiver. This power source supplies the receiver electronics and hence the air valves in the individual target units.

The battery shown on the left will operate an 8-target turning target system for several full days of use. If you are lucky enough to have a mains power supply or generator at the range you can substitute our portable power supply as an optional replacement for the battery.

    Compressor

You will need to provide a compressed air source to power the target air system. The amount of air required is quite small and it can be supplied by the type of compressor shown on the left.
